The good folks at Glockmeister took a look at my G19 g4 today and could find nothing wrong. They offered to replace the ejector for cost but I feel it is a Glock warranty issue. I was told to talk to Glock and see what they have to say. No explaination was given for poor ejection and rounds occasionaly hitting me in the face.
If you are getting BTF and your ejector is NOT marked 30274, the cause is very likely an out-of-date ejector. Call Glock Customer Service, give them your serial number, and if your gun was built without the new ejector they will provide one, as well as a new RSA if that is needed. Be prepared with the gun's serial number and with your RSA in your hand so that you can tell them the markings. This has all been covered in a thread on the subject of erratic ejection, but I didn't see any harm in repeating it.

Glock may tell you to have an Armorer call them to get the parts, which is what happened recently when a friend of mine called them I called and got the parts for him). If that's the case, you need to find an Armorer (your dealer, perhaps) and get that person to call and order the free replacement parts.

Having talked with Glock about this problem, they never once told me that there was a new extractor.

Thanks for the advice.
It has all the right parts, I double checked after your previous post and so did Glockmeister.
Today I put 100 rounds thru it without a hiccup. Shot up my supply of Hornaday Critical Duty and 50 rounds of Fiocchi.

Well, if it's cycling Fiocchi right now, and if that's the normal 115-grain ball ammo, then it might have just reached the "broken in" point.

Chris I put my results with the Lone Wolf extractor under your newer thread since I was hijacking this thread. In short, the LW extractor fixed the ejection performance of my 34 in grand style. I have no idea why. I hate that because I prefer to keep the gun with Glock parts. There is no evidence of damage or unusual wear on the original part. I am now buying a Glock extractor to test, but as you know Glock is slooooow to deliver armorer orders. It'll be three or four weeks. Just so no one asks, all the parts of the gun before installation of the LW were cleaned completely (complete slide disassembly and channel cleaning). The OEM extractor was then tested for performance (no change) and then the LW installed.

Bailey, that's good news! It looks like you have a methodical approach to solving problems, which will be valuable to the Forum. I don't think you have anything to worry about regarding the reliability of replacement parts like extractors, Lone Wolf has a good reputation.

Look for a PM from me on the subject of testing other parts.

FYI
Glockmeister has them in stock. We pulled one of the shelf to compare with mine looking for any unususal wear.

A data point for those interested.
Yesterday at the range another Glock shooter with a 19 had a couple of FTE and stovepipes. He had 1700+ rounds without a hiccup. He was using the same ammunition I did when I had my failures. Fiocchi 115gr fmj. It is sold at our range at a very good price pont so it is a popular option for those of us not wanting to stand in line for ammo. Btw I have since gone approx 250+ rounds without a failure using the same ammunition.

Follow cohland's advice. And if you still have problems, remember that the recoil spring assembly is a part that eventually will go bad. 700 rounds is extremely low, but if for some reason it is worn out, replacing it might fix your problem. It's a $10 part, so my suggestion is to order a few of them and keep them on hand for when you need them. That way if you get this problem in the future, you can swap it out right there on the range and see if that fixes the problem.
A worn-out recoil spring will increase slide speed, causing more positive ejection..not likely to cause the problems described by the OP. The fact that he's occasionally getting brass to the face, along with the other problems described would indicate to me that the most likely fix would be an adjustment to the nut behind the trigger. When shooting lower-powered ammo, especially, one has to be sure and not let one's wrists and/or elbows act like shock absorbers.

Sorry WalterGA, There's more than a few of us having ejection problems. Plenty of utube videos from experienced shooters out there. Maybe the nut behind the trigger is the one who thinks he knows everything.

Actually, a worn out recoil spring will often result in brass to the face. The slide goes back quicker, but the brass bounces around and doesn't eject straight out like it should. This ricochet often results in brass coming straight back at seemingly slow speeds. It seems counter-intuitive, but that's how it often works.

I've bit my tongue for a while now but...

I have to admit that every time I see this thread title pop up, my first thought goes towards my 24 year old ne'er-do-well step daughter who now has a NEW deadline to get a life by the end of the year.

Failure to eject.

I have that.

LoL! That was entertaining. I hear that's going around. Good luck.

With the RSA, I rely on the good old tried and true test that determines if the slide will go into battery properly.
