I just submitted all my paperwork at the court today and she put a bunch of stamps on it and told me that it would be sent to local police, state police etc...My question was in the end of the process do they mail me my actual permit or do I have to go back to the courthouse to pick it up? Also, how long has it taken people in VA to get theres. Thanks!

I live in Florida, so the process is different for me...

You might see if VA has a web site that would answer your questions... or call them on the phone... or wait to see if someone from VA pops up and can help you out...

Yeah I checked their website and the state police one as well as the docs on there but couldn't find anything, although I may have missed it. I just figured I'd ask to see if someone knew, thanks tho jb!

whether va or not, you better be able to answer no on 2-12 on the atf form or no on same issues on ccw form to get ccw or buy a firarm.

That has nothing to do with what I asked. And if you must know, I did answer no.

i really don't have a clue why you wonder/think there's anything that ties a ccw app in any state to va.

Glockwork 23 lives in Virginia... He just wants to know if anyone here knows the process for getting his CCW card after applying for it...

We're trying to help out, but it looks like we don't know either...

well va doesn't play any part in applying/getting a state/county ccw. probably needs to make a phone call to local/state police for info about the ccw since no-one really knows, that's what i'd do if i had a question in az..

OK, I thought CCW permits were always controlled by the states. Maybe not where you live?

In Florida, CWP permits are controlled by the state. If anyone in Florida wants CWP information, they can look on the "Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services - Division of Licensing" web site... or call them.

I'll just make a phone call tomorrow, I was just seeing if anyone knew the answer. Thanks for everyones responses tho, I appreciate the help!
