I was listening to Morning Express, 133 on Sirius this morn. It was said on there, that Utah legislation is looking to adopt the M1911 as its state official hand gun. What do ya'll think about that?

When you say "state official handgun" does that fall in to the same category as a state bird, flag or flower or does that refer to the gun that the state LEOs will carry?

As in line with state flower, tree, bird ect, ect.
I never knew states had official handguns. Since NM has the most awesomest bird, the roadrunner, I wonder what their state handgun would be? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
States don't have official handguns, this is a new thing. I'm from Texas and since everything is bigger in Texas, I wonder what Texas would pick if Texas decides to go for it too. It would probably be some type of hand cannon, lol.
Texas=44 Automag, or something ridiculous along those lines. NM's would have green chile all over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Texas state handgun will probably be a .50 cal Ma Duece... :D :D :D

That, or I was thinking an artillery cannon.
So I guess Georgia gets Glock since they make 'em there.

Here in VA, I'm pulling for the 16" Battleship guns since we have that largest Navy base. Hurling the equivilancy of a Volkswagon 22 miles with accuracy is hard to beat.

I believe you picked the winner!

I was home ported in Norfolk, VA for a few years... People used not to be too fond of sailors when I was there... Don't know if that's changed...
