Just another reminder for the holidays. I always have to remember to secure my firearms when I have company over, especially when little ones are involved. I'm not sure if I'd have the strength to be as forgiving as this family, even with Christmas coming

Very sad.. very sad.. I have 5 grandchildren and we have a safety drill established..All family entering the house NEED to ask "all safe" as an additional security measure.. (My Glocks are always in the safe when family is coming and a final check is always recommended..)
I do not understand how anyone can keep a loaded gun knowing a 2yr old is running around. Tragic for the family, but easily avoided by responsible gun ownership. Some states can jail you for this. Every body please just lock them up if children are around for the holidays. I have a 2yr old grand daughter and you can bet my son and I will talk about this issue.
Very sad indeed.

The only firearm that is not locked away around my children is the one on my hip.
I hate hearing stories like this. It is not that hard to keep them put up

Very well said and I agree!
