It's probably bad etiquette to ask about another internet forum here, but I am a member of many forums to increase my knowledge. I'm hoping someone can gimme a hand here. . .here's the problem. . .I'm a registered member of the "other" forum, but cannot post or reply to any threads (my access has been restricted). I've sent emails to the forum admins and have gotten no reply. I haven't posted anything offensive or illegal, so this has to be a glitch of some sort.

Could someone who's a member over there post a question on my behalf in the general forum inquiring why "rowemesp" can no longer post or reply to threads? Maybe that'll get a moderators attention. . . .thanks!

It is actually the first Glock forum I found when searching. I registered and a little over 3 months later I was activated!! After activation, I posted a thread in the technical area and it was put on hold till it went through the review process. I haven't seen the thread since AND no update on whether it was found to be unacceptable or not. I've been a member of, and moderated, several (20+) forums since the late 90s and I have never experienced a forum run so poorly! Even forums SEVERAL TIMES their size run just fine without all these waiting / probational periods. Not for me!!!

HOWEVER, I found this GREAT Glock.pro forum and have found no reason to visit "over there" anymore!

I've had several members contact me recently to ask if I could contact a mod for them for the same reason. Not one of my msgs has been answered nor as the thread I started in the tech problem area. Not sure what the deal is other than having sixty billion members. I am guessing they are overwhelmed.

Same problem here. I started there and it was very frustrating.. A lot of activity on "that" forum, some of it a little shallow topic wise for me. Hopefully we can build GlockPro into the same.

Hopefully....NOT!! I don't mind Glock.pro growing, but I sure hope the environment stays civilized like it is now. It is FAR from being civil on "that" forum!!

You never know what your going to get into over there. I can tell you I will be doing my best to keep it "civil" here and I don't think I am the only one

Exactly. I visit only a couple of sub forums on GT ... GSSF & The Want Ads. Occasionally, I will go to the General GLOCKing but only if I am really, really bored.

for me it is the want ads and non-glock firearms. Then only when I am trying to whined down to go to bed. Nothing more relaxing than reading about a bunch of guns

Thanks for the replies / info guys. Since it would appear that I'm not the only one with this issue, I won't worry about it. I prefer how this forum is organised anyway. Once I get some more Glock experience I might be able to "give back" to this forum someday. To the admins / mods of this site: Keep up the good work--it IS appreciated!

I remember it took me over a month to get registered there. The waters are much better over here.

not to be too pessimistic but it's probably just a matter of time before we get more trolls, my way is the only way, and jerks. it's just a question of how heavy handed the moderators can or should be

Same issue here also. I registered back in September, but no activation email yet. I too have tried sending emails to the "support" with no success.

Waited several months to get activated and then went through the same approval process on my posts. Total BS in my opinion. Emails to modes went unanswered so I gave up over there. About that time JL sent me an email about this place and I have never looked back.

GT was the first GLOCK forum I tried to join before I found glock.pro. After registering and receiving the "activation email" I was still unable to post anything. I tried sending an e-mail to their "support" e-mail and it was sent back as undeliverable. I gave up on them and searched for a different forum and found this one. I'm still new here but so far I am happy I found this site.
