How many of you like Springfield Armory XDs.

I own both XDs and Glocks. I like my Glock 45s over the SA XD-45s, but prefer the XD-9mm-s over the Glock 9mm-s.

This is based on feel in the hand, comfort in shooting, reliability.

How do you compare your XDs and Glocks?

My first ever pistol that I bought while going to college in FL was the XD 9 SubCompact. At the time, it seemed like a good choice since I wanted to get my CCW license, but the damn thing felt so clumsy and top-heavy... When I moved back up to Jersey, I switched to the Glock 17 and never looked back! But I will say that my friends XD 357 Sig was pretty nice...

The XD's are great pistols I think. I had one in 45 and carried for awhile until I sold it. Maybe one day I'll get another...more accurate Than what I could shoot it! Darn old eyes!

I had an XD 45 (between glocks) and couldn't like it for some reason - also felt like I was cheating on glocks I only had it about a month or so - sold it - got another glock.

not familiar with Springfields at all, but I hear they are nice. do they make a compact .380?? that caliber isn't available in Glock for US sale.

an XD45 midsize was my first polymer pistol. it had issues lol. constantly ftf jams, and the accuracy was horrible (got worse the hotter the barrel got surprisingly). i sold it at a $200 loss and bought a glock 45.

i'm sure it was just a lemon & SA woulda fixed it, but i'm glad i got into glock. they're easier to work on, parts are plentiful, and their durability is pretty impressive

My first gun was a HS2000 in the early 90s, that's what the XD was called before Springfield took over the importation duties. It was good for a first gun, had less recoil than my friend's G17, but I did get flyers, was not all that accurate. Functioning was perfect though, no problems at all. Cost me something like $265 back then (once SA took over importation it went up to the $400 range!). Also broke the ejector and the front sight, and had a couple of walking frame pins. Got fixed by the importer and I traded in afer about 2 years.

I am DIE HARD GLOCK for life!!!!!! I hate all wanna be glocks. I have never shot an XD, but have held them in gun stores and hate the feel. Why buy a wannbe-fakeglock-willneverbeaglock, when you can just have the best? Just my humble opinion!

I've never owned an XD and have only run a mag or two through them. When it was the HS2000, nobody would touch them, but the same pistol with XD on its side and costing $200 more seems to sell.

If a super deal came along on one I would give it a try, but other than testing one out for IDPA CDP, I don't ever seeing myself having a use for one.

Springfield armory did a brilliant job of re-branding and marketing them. plus, downplaying their croatian origins. based on my experience with one, i would never even consider buying another.
