Getting used G22 this Wed. Seeking any/all comments on said device! This will be my 2nd Glock (1st being a G29) and am interested in ALL comments on the G22!

Thanks

If you got a G20 instead of a G22, you could use the same ammo as your G29...

Just sayin...
G22 was right price, right place, right time....couldn't pass it up, just waiting for paper work! But as indicated, muchly appreciate any and all comments! Thank you!

Also, LOVE my 29, but wanted 'nother model with dif caliber. Variety is the spice of life (excepting with wives of course lol)
The G22 is a great pistol. What do you want to know?
Purchased a G22 2nd gen in 1993, no modifications and no repairs, and I still enjoy shooting it. In all that time I never had a problem, it would shoot every time I squeezed the trigger. I lost count of the rounds that went down the barrel and I cleaned it after every range visit. I think it is very accurate and reliable pistol.

G22 was my first Glock about two years ago. Like you, I got a deal on it. Got my deal at a gun show. I really love the 22, even though, for some reason, I don't shoot it as well as the 19/4 or 26, smooth trigger or not. It's a "keeper"!

Nothing particular...will be my 2nd Glock, and am just looing for comments...exactly what we're getting here. Like em, love em, have preferences etc... Love my G29, but expensive to shoot. Am looking forward to the 22 as a less expensive round, but still in Glock. Bought an inexpensive Hi-Point c9 for cheap shooting 3 weeks ago...not too bad. Factory sight adjust was WAAAY off. (G29 was DEAD ON from the factory!) Got it sighted, ok now. Mag release is in bad place for my grip, keep dropping the mag every few rounds. Took the release spring out the other night and bent it "slightly"...stiffer now. Hopefully it will reduce in-advertant drops.

Again, This is a wonderful board! The comments here are on the money for what I was looking for. Have more, bring it on!

Thanks to all for participation!
The 22 is simply a great full size Glock. I don't know of anyone that can say much bad about them. I don't recall even seeing anything bad said about them. I don't know that I would call the 40 a "cheap" round to shoot but it is cheaper than its big brother the 10mm. I own a G22 in 4th Generation and I like it a lot. Never had any problems at all with it and I am sure you won't with your new gun either. Enjoy, and let us know what you think of it after you get it.
My first GLOCK (first handgun period) was a LE trade-in Gen2 G22 with almost dead NS and 1 10rd mag, no box. It shot fine and I enjoyed it very much .... until I started shooting other calibers and other size handguns. I am not a fan of the .40 so I sold it after about 10 years. I still don't like the caliber but with I had the gun back as it was my first. I sent a PM to the guy I sold it to earlier this year and told him if he ever wanted to get rid of it I would buy it back for what he paid me. I doubt he will but I just wanted to plant the seed.
I'm not a fan of the .40SW, but I must confess an affinity for a particular G22. I have it's serial number etched into my memory and will obtain it if it ever becomes available. It was the G22 that was issued to me when my previous agency switched from S&W to Glocks. I took it out of the box and shot my first ever 100 on the SQC. The only other pistol that I have ever shot a perfect score coming out of the box is my G38.

Offer to trade him a new 22 for it...

Use one of your free GSSF coupons... You get your old 22 back for free!

Awesome idea! LMAO!
I like mine. It was my first semi, first Glock. It is probably a tad big for my hands, way to big to CC, but since it is my first, I kind of have a soft spot for it. I know, don't love something that doesn't love you back. I will be looking to get something a bit smaller, like a 26 or 27, maybe even a 19.

Good luck!
