I picked up this revolver today in trade. I picked it up solely because the trade $ seemed strongly in my favor. I also thought it was cool. I highly doubt I will keep it but am anxious to shoot it. The guy I got it from said it was a beast.

For those unfamiliar with this model it is a N frame with 2.5" bbl chambered in .45acp. The frame is super lightweight and it has a red/orange HiViz front sight and adjustable rear notch sight. The trigger is very smooth in both single action and double action mode, quite amazing actually.

The package also included a Comp-Tac CTAC, a nice Andrews Leather OWB holster, and a bunch of accessories (a couple of packs of moon clips, mooning and de-mooning tools, an extra set of rubber monogrips, etc.). It was in the original box with all the stuff that comes with it. The only thing "wrong" is a couple of very minor handling marks and one of the clips on the hard case is missing.

I envy you my friend. I have wanted that wheel gun for a long time. I have been a Revo fan for as long as I have been a Glock fan. My department just approved S&W 45acp revolvers as a secondary and or a off-duty gun. Now even more so I want one lol. When I wanted to carry a "Non Cop" gun I'd carry my S&W 686 4" just to feel like a cowboy for a day or so. I have since sold it and have been itching for another Revo.

Glock pistols can be used and abused and still go bang, but you can't beat the reliability of a good revolver.

Awesome Find!!

congrats :)

yeah those scandium s&w revolvers aren't the most pleasant shooters for rangetime, but they sure make decent carry pieces :)

i would put some HST45 or gold dot 230gr 45 (not short-barrel) in it. they both expand consistently, even through short barrels (if you keep it lol)

Killing me. I would like to come up there though. Let me know times/specifics, etc via email and I will go tell my wife I'm doing it! (ask)
