I have been testing my carry ammo and have had 2 failures to expand. Both were made by Remington. One was a 357 magnum 125gr. Golden Saber. The other was a .40 S&W 180gr Ultimate Defense compact handgun. The .357 was shot from a 3" barreled S&W mdl. 13. the .40 S&W was shot from a Glock 27. I shot at 5 plastic milk jugs lined up in a row, with the first jug covered with 4 layers of denim. I was shooting from a distance of 10 feet. Do you think I have an ammo problem, or the plastic jugs are fouling up the experiment? The hollow points were not plugged with any plastic that I could tell, but stuff happens.
Thanks,
Oddball:cool:

Plugged hollow point cavities are a common cause for failure to expand. This why I use the Corbon 9mm 115gr JHP +p. It has a wide HP, and goes 1400 feet-per-second out of my Glock 17 (4.5-inch barrel).
