yep! my HPR 10mm tumbled too! nothing hit point of aim for me either! disappointing, to say the least!

thanks for the chrono results, looks like HPR fell short of the 1,260fps claim as well. of course, they told me they test it out of a g20, but a 100 fps drop in velocity is not acceptable out of a g29, especially considering the low power XTP gets the same velocity.

the lack of velocity is understandable: they're tumbling because the bullets are undersized, and the gases are bleeding off ahead of the bullets as they are traveling down the bore.

Agreed! The Hornady result surprised me! I took into consideration the G29 short barrel issue, but to be surpassed by the stock Hornady round...needless to say, it got my attention. The Hornady round however, is one that over-penetrated in my previous test with ice filled milk jugs, and it did not expand. Will have to retest that round with my special ballistic gel media... (thickened Metamucil in the jug). lol Very scientific! BTW, anyone who is interested in duplicating a "home remedy gel" may find that Metamucil can come very close. I'll do that test with the Hornady in a couple of weeks and post results!
