I have a G23 that has a set of AmeriGlo night sights on it, which are crap. The front sight is barley visible in pitch black and one rear dot is visibly darker than the other. So, I have a G20 that has a year old set of Meprolight 10222s on it. I was thinking of putting the 10222s on my G23, but Im wonding what adverse effects this might have. From what I was able to find out from the web is that most likely if I did swap the point of impact would be higher than point of aim. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks. Happy Shootin.

Never had any experience with puting G22 night sights on a G23. But if I had just the slightest doubt in my mind that it would have a negative affect on my shooting I wouldnt do it. I dont want to have to take any extra time to think about what I would have to do different if I was to have a run in with a BG. Now if your G22 is a range gun only you could give it a try and see just exactly what the difference may be. All of my guns are carry guns. My life nor the lives of my wife and 4 kids are worth saving a few dollars on sights.

I would suggest just buying a pair for the 23 and being done with it.

Yeah I agree with buying a new set, may make the ol' wallet a lil lighter but will be worth it in the long run. If I may make a suggestion as for what kind of sights to get, If you havnt checked out the tru-glo TFO sight then check them out if you get a chance they are some pretty sweet sights.

i bought a set of ameriglo sites for my original g19 i owned, they said trijicon on them. i was told by the glock armorer that installed them that triji owns ameriglo. never heard any major issues with them before, except they don't last the claimed 12 years of glowing. also heard their cust serv isn't the best at replacing the tritium viles under warranty from a few people....

Ameriglo uses Trijicon vials, but to my knowledge, they aren't owned by Trijicon.

I've never had to have a vial replaced, but I have had them give excellent service in another matter.

I would buy a new set for the G23... I have Meprolights and they look good.

Why would the point for of impact be higher than the point of aim? Is it like a one time install thing?

Boomer,

send me an email about your sights. Let me know when they were bought (how old are they), and the issues involved. If the sights are defective we'll replace them. We sell thousands of sets monthly to citizens, soldiers, officers etc. without many issues. Calling our product 'crap' won't help either of us - as a 'Moderator' I'm sure you understand.

I guarantee Rick will take care of you. He's THE MAN. He always helps me out when I have questions/concerns/issues. I am a total 100% Ameriglo convert and I've tried most all the major sight manufacturers.

My favorite is the orange/green ProGlo front (GL-212-OR) with the plain black, serrated face rear (GL-405L).
