night sights

My Sig P250 has "night sights' and I like that, so I want to put "night sights" on my Glock 19.
It doesn't look very hard, so is this something I can do?
If I can not, what should this cost and who can do it?

Also is there one brand better than another?

if your g19 has the screw in type front site, you just need the little screwdriver to take it out. the rear site is trickier. you can tap it in, but it's kind of a pain to get it started in the slide groove. local glock armorers will have a site pusher tool. i wouldn't pay more than $15 to have them put them in. it only takes a minute or two.
I don't know where you are but I do it for $10. It isn't a big deal and I am not trying to make money at it or anything just paying for my tools

that's nice of your to offer. $10 is as cheap as it gets. one of my local rip offs actually charges $25 to install....

Ouch. Crap I even take people out to the range and let them burn some ammo just to be sure it has good POA/POI
I do enough sights that I spent the money on the sight tools.

With the tools, it is very easy to do.

This. I changed the rear once with a nylon punch and a hammer. It wasn't that bad. It is just a bit more difficult to make minor adjustments unless you have really fine motor skills. I do not.

I am glad I listened to Vol and got the right tools to install sights on my own easily.
i had mine installed for free from my local shop, even let me take the tool out to the range to make fine adjustments. but you can also use a normal nutdriver for the front sights if you grind the exterier diameter to the correct size. and a punch for the rear
Should of asked, what are good sights, seems to be a few out there.

Check out Ameriglo. They are sponsors of this forum, and several of use used their products before they signed up here. I have Ameriglos on every Glock that I personally own, and I even sprung for a set for an issued Glock.
glock factory night sights are what im using. has the glock name and that rugged tradional look.

Here's another good discussion from a few days ago.

The gun range I go to can do Trijicon night sights installed for $99.00, so I am going to try them.

Love the sights, good choice
I have Trijicons on my new Glock 19, that's all the shop had in stock the day I brought her home, they seem nice, still gotta go shoot it though. Even with the night sights, it was 512.00 after taxes. G23SNT and I have found the best kept secret for firearms here in Albuquerque, little Law Enforcement store called Neve's, they sell blue label guns, and let us Military folk in on it too.
