im not sure if there's a thread like this already (im sure there is, but i didnt look too hard) and i know that ameriglo is a site sponsor, but a local pawn shop is running a special on truglo night sights installed for $55. im thinking this is too good to pass up, and am going to see them monday morning since they arent open on sundays. my only question is, has anyone had any negative experiences with them?

btw they retail at ~150 plus shipping, then getting them installed would run close to 180-200 total.

I have Ameriglos on every Glock that I own and even have them on an issued pistol at my expense. This was the case prior to Ameriglo signing on here as a sponsor.

If I got a new Glock tomorrow, I'd order another set of Ameriglos for it even if I could get the truglos at the price you listed.

This isn't a knock of the truglos. It is a statement of my belief in the Ameriglo product.

Before you do that you might want to check with OBX Ammo at Nags Head. I bought Ameriglo's from them at the Dixie Gun and Knife show in Charlotte in October, $70, installed. Might be worth a call or drive down there, to see what they offer. Not knocking Truglos, have a "Fat Bead" on a shot-gun. I just like Ameriglos.

so i did some more research last night, and i found one in depth review of them. the person was very pleased with them, so i will grab them and report back. if/when they run a special on the ameriglos/trijicons again i will consider replacing them.

I have a pair of them on a pistol and like them just fine. There is nothing wrong with them. As long as you are accurate with them I wouldn't worry about replacing them. That would just be wasted money you could use towards more ammo

I have some Mep TruGLo's and I love them. Great choice well worth the money.
I agree they are good sights. Before I found Ameriglo they were my NS of choice.

Side note: this thread was starting to sound like a commercial for Ameriglo. I fully support them as I use their sights exclusively on my GLOCKs. However, I want to be clear that has NOTHING to do with them being a sight sponsor. I used them before I was even on Glock.Pro and IIRC I was listed as their referral here. I could be wrong about that referral but think that's what Rob or the Chief told me.
