Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Christmas Present. I would put a set of Ameriglos on for night sights, purchase a good holster from Comp-Tac, (to name one of many great holster companies) and get a good belt. Without knowing your background, the belt is just as, if not more important than the holster. Ammo wise, I would look for Speer Gold Dots, Winchester Rangers, Federal HSTs for protection/carry ammo and I would shoot whatever I could get my hands on for practice.
