I just purchased a pair of G-19X, Gen 5 with Serial numbers BUYX371 and BUYX372 . The salesperson said that these pistols were special because they were used in the trials for the government contract. Does anyone know any thing about this?
Thanks

Meaning those two guns specifically were used in the trials or the 19x was developed for the trials?

The 19x was developed for the US Army trials. The serial numbers on those guns are much later than 19x that I’ve seen sold retail so I suspect he only meant to represent the origin of the 19x.

I recently picked up a G45 (similar to 19x) and was amazed - way more than I expected to be. I want a 19x too now!

Thanks for your reply.
I think l missed understood him. The serial numbers are consecutive so there may be some later value with that.
Either way I have one and my son has the other and we have enjoyed firing the guns together.
Thanks again for your help

I would suspect the actual trial guns will never be available to the public.

Just as many other prototypes submitted for testing/approval.

And if they were, seems like the price would be far above the regular retail price of said firearm.
