Magpul Dynamics Dynamic Handgun DVD

My wife (love that woman) just bought me The Art of Dynamic Handgun by Magpul Dynamics 4 disc dvd set. The instructors in the dvd are Travis Haley and Chris Costa. I found the dvd VERY informative and explained certain things in a way I haven't heard before.

Has anyone out there had chance to view this dvd yet or even attended training w/ this company? I am interested on your thoughts.

I have that set also. I also found it to be pretty good. I have viewed the Carbine series and just got their Shotgun series for Christmas. I look forward to watching it as time permits.
i like the quote from Costa "Be the weapon's Master and not it's B%$^#h". Wife said no to the tattoo.....
Thanks to a good friend, I was also able to view 3 of th3 4 DVDs. I too found them to be very informative. For just one example, I started putting extended mag releases on all my GLOCKS because I couldn't release the mag properly with my grip. The DVD shows specifically how to handle this and I am now putting standard mag releases back into my guns instead of having my palms cutup with the extended mag releases. Great video set, can't wait to see the shotgun version soon. :)

Yes, you can borrow it once I've had time to watch it.

I was hoping you would get my hint. :)
TheLaw is not very subtle... :D :D

Looks like a good set of DVD's...
Ive had the chance to train with Chris, Travis, Kerry and Steve. They all know their stuff and are great instructors. Steve is a personal friend of mine and used to do alot of local training here in michigan with his company MDFI.

Id recommend jumping in on one of their classes if you get a chance.
I too have their handgun DVD's and they're pretty good. When it comes to live training, there are other instructors/companies I'd like to train with way more. I can't wait for Larry Vicker's handgun DVD's to come out and see what they're like. I'm sure they will be well received too. In no way do theses videos take the place of real training but they do make a great precursor to any tactical handgun class.
VLOBB, welcome to the forum. I agree 100% that DVDs should not take the place of live training. They just make good use of the time between training courses!

Thank you. Your statement is very well put and spot on.
