Just Picked up my first Glock today

I work in security and they let us get the discount. So I have an 03 spring in it and had tons of fte and ftf. Another of my friends tried it and had a couple and my boss tried it and it worked almost flawlessly do I mist be doing something wrong I put about 150 rounds through it.

It's worth calling Glock for the new "04" recoil spring assembly... it's new and it's free. Just call Glock and ask for Technical Support. Explain your problem and they'll send you one in the mail.

It will also help to get some better ammunition... What kind were you using?

Are you shooting better now with other ammo or spring?

There'a an adaptor available that'll let you run a Gen 3 recoil spring assembly in it.

Yeah, but the 04 spring assembly from Glock is free.

Great point. And it's from the factory, not designed by a third party. Not saying all third party add-ons are bad but you never know.

I have not actually shot with the "04" spring yet. I put it in, but I have been taking my 17 and 17L to the range lately. I'm trying to determine if the lighter trigger pull of the 17L is better.

I started shooting my 19 with the American Eagle 124gr ammunition. It never caused any problems. After I shot a bunch of the 124gr stuff, I shot a box of WWB 115gr and even a box of Federal Champion 115gr and it all shot without problems. I was basically trying to use all the Federal Champion ammo up after discovering it was the lowest powered 9mm ammunition on the planet!

Since I can order the AE 124gr ammo for less than the price of WWB, this is a no brainer for me. Plus, my SD ammo is 124gr with similar power.

it is still ftf or fte after nearly every shot and i showed it to a guy at the NRA range and he said the spring looked defective. I should be getting my new spring in the mail within a week. I did try high grain ammo and it still couldnt fire off multiple shots without a malfunction.

I guess I'd wait for the "04" spring and try that...

Well you can get it for that price anywhere with the blue label discount. I work in security an get it. Btw I got the gen 3 spring conversion kit and with that my 4th gen fires flawlessly.
