pretty sure some 17L's have the cutout...But you don't get the cool cutout slide.
Personally, I would stick with the 34 but of course, I don't have GLOCK telling me I can pick any gun I want. LOL Good luck with your decision.
Rodger that.I think they still make them, but production is limited.
One of the guys I used to work with had one. To me, the 34 balances much better and is much more practical.
Why is carrying the 34 silliness? It is the same overall length as a 1911.I would never carry a 34...thats just sillyness IMHO...and just like the 34, a 17L would accept all the mods a regular 17 will accept right? Cause all either gun is, is a 17 with a different slide. And the connector, slide stop and mag release which can be put on any glock. I almost feel bad for wanting to call them again...they have to be hating me by now... I bet they are going to say, if its not on our website we cant get it.
In the name of not bothering Glock again...Ill stick with the 34. err...but I might call just to see if they do in fact still produce the 17L.
I agree. I used to think the G34 was too big to carry until I actually handled one and shot it. I'm not saying I want to carry it every day or anything ... just that it isn't unreasonable. Why is carrying the 34 silliness? It is the same overall length as a 1911.
IWB, no thanks... full size 1911 IWB...no thanks. Thats where I was coming from when I said that. OWB? sure, for either of them. Why is carrying the 34 silliness? It is the same overall length as a 1911.
To each his own. I'm not a big dude at all and I carry a Govt 1911 IWB with no issues. It's more of a holster issue than a pistol issue.IWB, no thanks... full size 1911 IWB...no thanks. Thats where I was coming from when I said that. OWB? sure, for either of them.
It's only a half inch longer than the 17...IWB, no thanks... full size 1911 IWB...no thanks. Thats where I was coming from when I said that. OWB? sure, for either of them.
To each his own I suppose. I wouldn't want to cc a 19 iwb let alone a 17.It's only a half inch longer than the 17...
I used carry IWB almost exclusively off duty. Now it's the opposite, and I carry OWB with a cover garment. The 34 makes a fine carry gun.To each his own I suppose. I wouldn't want to cc a 19 iwb let alone a 17.
I'd carry almost any full size owb. But I dont have an owb rig and I usually like to wear just a tshirt on top. I did order a owb for the 34 from comptac so this winter I'll be trying owb with the 34.I used carry IWB almost exclusively off duty. Now it's the opposite, and I carry OWB with a cover garment. the 17L is not currently made. it's been a couple years since they made it the last time. glock makes the 17L periodically at random (and in limited numbers), for some reason. who knows if they'll make it again.I think they still make them, but production is limited.
One of the guys I used to work with had one. To me, the 34 balances much better and is much more practical.
the 17L has a 6inch barrel, as apposed to the 17's 4.5 inch, and the 34's 5.3inch barrel. It's only a half inch longer than the 17...
Good choice going with Comp-tac. I use the paddle slide across the full spectrum of Glocks, but I am thinking of ordering a Comp-tac holster that will accommodate an attached TLR-1 for my G34.I'd carry almost any full size owb. But I dont have an owb rig and I usually like to wear just a tshirt on top. I did order a owb for the 34 from comptac so this winter I'll be trying owb with the 34.
You're killing me. Absolutely killing me. LOLI just called them again...asked for a 35 instead...that way I can have a .40, a 9 and a .357 if i wish down the road.
Lol. They will ship it out fast before you change your mind again.I just called them again...asked for a 35 instead...that way I can have a .40, a 9 and a .357 if i wish down the road.
