New to the forum but not to Glocks and guns in general. I was raise with a loaded
shotgun, ,22 rifle or 30-30 behind every door. Spent tours in Nam, 68-69. Have the T-Shirt and
headwound scars to show for it, Couldn't buy a job when I got back from Nam, but the Metro
Police Dept of Washington DC took me in, gave me a job and a career. Been in Law
Enforcement of one kind or another ever since. Last job as a Deputy was as a Child Sex Abuse
Investigator. That wore me out and I left for Parole. Been a Parole Officer for the last 20 years.
I have a nice collection of guns of which 4 are Glocks. A model 31 and 33 in 357 SIG and a model
30 and 36 in .45 ACP. Have a couple Sigs in 9mm and several Smiths. Wife and I both have had
our CCW's since the early 90's. My wife is a Magistrate and Juvenile Probation Officer. Kinda runs
in the family. I ride a Harley Ultra Classic as a work bike and I have a Nomad I've made a trike out of that I use for the wife, dog and me on the weekends. Drive a Jeep when I can't ride.
Been married 42 years. I'm a hard core conservative and about as politically correct as a sharp
stick in the eye. Guess that's about it.
Stay safe,
Dano

Thanks. 3 Glock 30's? I just pickek up mine a couple weeks back. Really like it. I've purchased a Laserlyte Rear Sight laser. Gonna put it on
this weekend and sight it in if it don't rain. Got a CrossBreed holster coming and I'll be ready to carry it. Love my 36 but this 30SF surpasses
it.
That's me, cycle freak. Been a bike in my garage or at least in the drive since I was 16. Only time I didn't have one was in Nam.

Wecome Dano, Pleased your here. I've been busy the last couple days and could'nt get to you earlier. I see we picked a few new members the last couple days. A big welcome to all. Ron has done a great job here. Again thanks Rob and Bobbi. Also thank you for youre service to the country. It is great to have a true american hero here to share.
Thank you for serving our country and fighting for our freedom.
.
Thanks for the kind words Hank, but "hero", naw, I just did what I thought was right. Survived TET 68 and 69. 13.5 months of going from being
scare half to death to being so busy I forgot to be scared. Almost like being Bi-Polar :) Again, I appreciate the thanks but as Alvin York said; Shucks,
weren't nothing special.
Stay safe, stay aware,

Dano,
I cannot imagine what you went through. I have friends that were there and they have since passed away, but for 1. You served and came home alive, therefore you ARE a HERO in my country. I am a US Army vet but never saw combat and glad I did not. You sir did and I salute you for that. Any grunt that saw combat is a HERO imho. Also what you had to contend with when you got home I am sorry. Glad you found a home and job that it sounds like you did very well at. Enjoy the wind in your hair and have fun with the trike. My dad had a bike and my mom rode her own trike, but when he died she sold both.
Take care and hold the loved ones close
I won't argue with you :) It was rougher coming home than living minute by minute in the bush.
Like a lot of Nam Vets, we were spit on for so long, we don't know how to accept genuine gratitude.
Means more coming from a fellow Vet though so thank you and thank you for serving too.
