I Must Impose A Question

OK, the 21 was introduced in the Gen2 period and the 37 in the Gen3 period. The 21SF was introduced to compete in US Military weapons trials. The grip was reduced in size to more closely match the Beretta 92 in an effort to bring the .45ACP back into the US Military. The 37 .45GAP was introduced to bring .45ACP power into US Police markets in the size of a 17 package. (I apologize if this is wrong, please feel free to correct me).

So to the question I impose is, If the .45GAP could be put in a 17 package, couldn't Glock just as easily put the .45ACP into the 17/19 package for the Gen4 gun? I ask because I really want a Glock .45ACP in a 19 sized gun. Please add your input, Thanks, Boomer.

Ever considered a G30? Its pretty close to the G19 size. With a 10 rd capacity its an ideal concealed carry 45acp.
Yes, I like the 30, but I am just being difficult, because I want a regular 3 finger length grip thats shorter than the 21 and with the thinner 1.18" width versus the thicker 1.27" width.
Without tickets to Austria and a translator the best I can say is.....Ever try the G36?
the 38 is the gap you are looking for. 19 size with the 45 ballistics. The 23 has the 19 size with .40 cal ballistics ... but why not just shoot the 19 ... 9mm will kill you just as dead. I doubt the GAP will be produced in the 4th gen.

Ahh yes. Because that .09 of an inch is a killer. Lol. I know what you mean though. Why not buy a G32? Same size as a G19 + better ballistics.

The cartridge length prohibits it. The .45 ACP, being longer than the .45 GAP (and .40, and 9mm), requires a magazine (and a mag well/grip) that is longer front back to fit it like the G21/G21SF/G30/G36. The G19 sized grip is too short front to back, the .45 ACP won't fit in it......hence, the .45 GAP. Try a G38, it's great!

Ya, but how hard is it to find .45GAP vs .45ACP ammo?

Thats exactly the reason I sold my G37.

And, I quote my own post. That is exactly why I dont want a .45GAP.
