So to prepare for a new trigger I removed the stock and without thinking put everything back together. Once I realized what I did I can not get the slide off since the "trigger" is not at rest... any ideas on how I can get around this..?

on the back of the slide cover plate there is a hole. You can use a small punch or the armorers tool and stick it in there and actuate the trigger bar to initiate the trigger for field stripping.

ok - i see the opening in the back... when I insert a punch it feels like a wall... like nothing is going to budge... am i missing anything?

ok - I got it... I am guessing that once the new trigger is on the trigger bar will "lock or click" instead of being at rest... Thanks again for the replies and putting up with me...
