Well, after debating for some time, I finally traded in my G22 for a 4th Gen G23. I wasn't expecting to get a 4th gen. I went in looking at a 27 or a 23 (3rd), but saw they had a 4th gen, new to the display since the last time I visited only 2 weeks prior.
The 23 is noticeably "smaller" than the 22. By the time one would add extensions to the 27, there doesn't seem to be much difference. I like the narrower grip on the 4th gen. It also fits my Blackhawk holster. Plus, I have at least $200 of .40 ammo laying around. Plus, I got 3 mags with it (not sure if that is normal), and one spare I had for the G22.

Now I have to get to the range in these frigid temps. We are sitting at a mild +8 F right now.

I have an issued G23 3rd gen and is the reason I bought my own G27. I'd never shot a Glock before this spring and the 23 made me a believer. We had Sigs before the Glocks and I liked my Sig a lot, but I fell in love with the engineering, simplicity and quality of the Glocks. Now I can't think of a handgun / caliber I'd rather go into a battle with. Congrats and enjoy your new Gen4!
