Bought a gun just because you had a holster for it? I have to admit I did. I have a really neat Comp-Tac that you wear like a necklace. Only problem it is made for the LCP and I didn't have one. So, I went to the pawn shop yesterday and solved that problem. Got me to thinking though that I seem to be a little backwards.

Don't most buy a holster to match the gun not the other way around? Oh well, thoughts? Anyone else done anything like this? I am seriously starting to think I need some help with my compulsiveness.

I don't think I have ever bought a holster for a gun that I did not own. However, in my box of holsters that don't fit any thing I own (and there are many)! A Kel-tec 32, which I have never owned: A Hi-Point C-9, that I am afraid to say that I did own. Two of those! Do you have a box of holsters like this?

SF my brother and friend perhaps its time to seek some help. If the only reason you bought a gun to fit an empty holster is normal, You questioning why you bought the gun is what concerns me. No one needs to justify the why, just do it.

Only one and I plan on fixing that too. That one is a easier fix though as someone is going to buy it. All the others have pistols for them. Although one is left handed and I am not sure how I got it.

Your probably right. I will just look at it as another Christmas present to myself. This takes care of me up until sometime around 2054 I think. LOL

years ago i bought sigs that would fit in the same holster/s 220/226 & some 229's, both leather, kydex and most recently uncle mikes, nylon iwb's.

unclemikes are comfortable standing, walking, sitting/driving in the car or in a show, have enough retention for me and are $11.99 at sportsmans warehouse.

i love german engineering but never liked the long da pull in a sd/hd situation and i have more sigs than glocks but carry and have the g30 on the nitestand.

I saw the last line in your poll and chuckled, but I'm with what BRH said. The holster was lonely...
I kinda figure the last line is what my wife will say if she finds out

Gotta say, I have a C9 (soon to have a metal rear sight) and since the first 4 mags were put through it, it hasn't missed a lick. Now has ~900 rounds through it and for the price...I'm happy with it. Certainly not on par with my glocks, but I'd sure hate to get shot with it!

Well at least I am not the only one that has done it. Or admitted it at this point

i actually carried my g19 on private property for 8 hours when i was helping a relative out with armed security (CC is legal in my state on private property), and i used my glock brand oem holster. kinda dug into my side a little. guess i might need to spend more than $9 on a quality one lol

LEOSA is one of the reasons i wouldn't mind a Federal LE position :)

Well, I can honestly of all the crazy ways I've justified a weapons purchase over the years, that hasn't been one of them. But a thank you is in order because I can keep that excuse in reserve for use at a later date.
