Now is your opportunity! We are looking for interesting, life-saving, inspirational, maybe even sentimental stories about your GLOCK. The two winning entries will be included in our "Tales of the GUN" section of the 2011 GLOCK Annual!

The contest is open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. To enter, simply:
Write a compelling essay no more than 300 words on your favorite story about your GLOCK
Submit no later than 11:59p.m. on Oct. 15, 2010, by emailing your essay to [email protected]

Essays must be 100% factual, and are not limited to any subject matter (self defense, competition shooting, security, law enforcement, military, shooting sports). You may enter from now until Oct. 15th.

Limit one entry per person. No copies or mechanical reproductions of entries will be accepted.

TWO Grand Prizes Winners will be chosen!! Grand Prize consists of a check for the amount of $100.00 to each winner and inclusion of your essay into the GLOCK Annual.

Someone put on a pot of coffee, I'd like to hear a few good stories. Heck I'm retired Navy so I love "lies and sea stories".

I forgot I had my picture in the Nov 2010 issue of Combat Handguns too. I think it was page 78. The pic looks very similar to my avatar.
What the heck is your avatar picture?

It looks like an airplane or something...

It's a picture of me engaging targets from the deck ... if you look really close NTA is the next shooter down the line.
Ah, I see...

Now that I see the full sized picture I can tell what's going on in the avatar...

Pretty cool picture... Looks like you just fired and the slide is rocked back... gun smoke in the air... only thing that would make that a better picture is to Photoshop in a bullet... ;)

You can see a mag already on the deck so I've done a re-load at least once. Not sure if this was locked back or just in motion. A guy on ARFCOM did some magic on the avatar and added muzzle flash. It's cool. Not sure it will work here but if you go there you can see it.
