Here is a link to all the GSSF matches for the remainder of 2010 and the first part of 2011. These matches are alot of fun and have some excellent prizes given away. All info needed is on the site including fees for membership, and entry. If one is in your area and you have a chance to attend it is alot of fun.

I've only been to one but what great fun they are.
I was thinking about doing one.

I like how they have 3 Classes "A, B, C" so they rate you based on you ability.
Get in one G23. A buddy of mine and myself travel around to them. We cover a couple of states. Split Gas motel bills and such. It isn't bad that way and lots of fun
So far this year I have shot in the Dawsonville/Canton and the Columbia matches. I'm definitely planning on making the Conyers and Griffin matches.

Are these breakdowns within the Master class shooters? I'm not familiar with them.
Prelims have me finishing fourth in my division.

Wow... How cool is that?

Congratulations!

I have a previous third place finish, but this time was actually better than that time. Next match that I'll make is the weekend of 9/25.

I did some checking. GSSF no longer does any sub-classifications within the master class shooters. The two divisions are amateur and master. Three wins as an amateur automatically promotes a shooter to master.

I'm planning on attending the February 12th match in Orlando, Florida... It will be my first GSSF match.

Any of you NE Georgia guys make it down that far south?

Not sure if I'll be able to make one that far away. It would be a fun road trip though.
Im looking at entering my first competition...looking at the application and wondering what the definition of an amateur civilian match is and the definition of an amateur and master competition is

The definitions are detailed in the rules. A pdf copy is available online at:

I haven't won anything, and since I'm really new to all of this, I'm just an Amateur. They also have the Amateur/Master categories in the Civilian/Guardian groups. Whatever your category, it's a lot of fun and a great place to learn from a lot of helpful people.
