I may purchase a pistol from a private vendor--how do I determine if the pistol is legal. I have the make/model and serial and a person's name but it may not be legitimate??? Pls advise. The colonel, USMC Thx.

Are you saving enough money compared to a stablish dealer? is this a used gun? modify maybe, unknow to you or seller? If red flags start popping out, go away.
