Glock Armorer in profile suggestion

would have been nice to know that trick from the get go. I think it should be changed.
no, there isnt. Its either yes or no. I wanted to fill out a complete profile, and got punished for it by having "no im not an armorer" in the header for every post I make.
I was gonna make a thread about this myself cause it really bugs me.
rob can change it. hope he does.

I would change it for you if I could, but I can only change it between yes and no. Seems like it's more an Administrator thing than a Moderator thing.

Because it should either say you are one, or say nothing. Are you an armorer? No, and your header doesnt say either way, and thats how I think it should be. There shouldnt be some people who arent armorers who have nothing there and then other people who also arent armorers have it say "not an armorer" Its a negative thing in the header everytime I post... but I hold the same armorers status as you, and all other people who arent armorers.
Im not worried...Rob's a good forum owner and admin.
yeah this place kicks GT's butt as far as the people who post here and their general attitudes.

Honestly, being a GLOCK Armorer is not prestigious at all. Half the people I hang out with are GLOCK Armorers and it's not really that big of a deal. I could spend about half your with someone and get them up to speed. It's really that simple.
Be one, don't be one. Fill out the profile, don't fill out the profile. No one is being punished. I think it's a nice feature to know who is and who isn't so you can kind of tell if they might/might not know what they are talking about. However, it doesn't really "mean" anything as I know lots of folks who aren't Armorers that know WAAAAAAY more than me about a GLOCK and some that are Armorer's that don't know jack.
I just dont like seeing it over there on every single post I make...its not a big deal, but it bothers be a little, and is easily corrected by an Admin. I can detail strip a glock as well as the next guy...armorer or not. My issue with it is that it can say yes, no, or nothing, and I think answering no should make the field blank as if it was never answered. Saying you are not an armorer is more negative than not saying anything. Also, "Punished" was not a good term for me to use.

I think your worry over seeing a NO on every post is a personal issue. It's something only you can deal with. I think no less of you for not being an Armorer. Like you said ... you can detail strip a GLOCK too. It's not a big deal.
As far as the part in RED. If I didn't answer the question for location does that mean I'm from nowhere? A "NO" answer is not the same thing as not answering the question. If there is "nothing" for that question I don't know if that means you are NOT an armorer or if you chose not to answer the question. Either way, it doesn't matter much either way. You are, you aren't, you don't want anyone to know either way. It's all the same.
