On a recent thread I mentioned that I had joined GSSF and had sent in my application
for the Armorer's class in Charleston, SC on December 9th and got a confirmation letter back from Diane Scott at Glock. Well yesterday I got a phone call from her telling me that the class had mistakenly not been listed in the schedule as "Law Enforcement" only.

I'm supposed to call her back Monday with another date. She's a very helpful and nice lady.:)

I have not heard that. They have plenty of classes on the schedule that are not listed as LE only, but they're just too far away from me.

They just recently opened them up to GSSF members. Are they really looking to shut that back down?
That would really surprise me considering how popular it has been and the fact it makes everyone their brother even more "into" their pistols.
you got me, guys. that's what the glock rep told me, and all the armorer's at the range i shoot at. he said glock is going to eventually make it where you need to prove that you're either LE, or a gunshop employee.

the glock reps i've talked on the phone about warranty issues all seem to be on different pages, so who knows lol

It is a good class if you can get into one.

some day I plan to take the class, might just need to go to work for a gun shop part time, after I retire.
There's a new gun shop near where I am that's just been open about two months. The owner is not a Glock Armorer, so he has hired a local
law enforcement officer part time as his Glock Armorer.

I wouldn't believe everything you hear at a gun shop/range. The fact it allegedly came from a GLOCK rep is interesting though.

Interesting. Hopefully this is not the case because if I don't get to be a GLOCK armorer, I don't know what I will do with my life. :)

I am still a way from retirement, and there might be a gun shop by me that would put me on the payroll so that I could go to the class, I think.
