Thankful he had his gun and kept his wits about him. I'm sure the mothers will be on the news spouting what good boys they were and should not have been shot. This kind of thing is happening more and more ... carry your guns boys!

He needs to file civil suits againts the robbers family and girlfriends if they have them to stop them from filing on him.

I learned in my CHL class, that the old guy in Pasadena who killed those 2 robbers, coming out of the house next to his. Well one of those POS girls friends got a lawyer and wanted to sue him for taking away the "bread winner" and her kids father. Lucky she was here illegally and was deported.

Good for him dropping two POS who will never harm another person again. If their family has a problem with their thug pistol whipping children being killed during an armed robbery attemt tough luck and let this be an example your other children.

Great story. It sounds like it was his last resort, which is a good thing. Obviously he took a pretty bad beating before shooting the bad guys.

I think it was interesting how the story ended. He has to deal with the fact he killed some people, but I all honesty it was just. It came down to him or them. And he made a choice.

Great point JL again you are spot on. G23SNT yes he has to deal with his actions but ask his family what he should of done and they would say come home safe. Ask the thugs family and they would say he should of died like a good victim and not killed my son. I understand the horror of taking a life, but the thugs got what they deserved when they pick up a firearm and try to victimize honest citizens. Time after time the thugs family say on tv how great the gangbanger was how he was trying to turn his life around Wa wa boo hoo. I am tired of thugs getting probation for their 3rd and 4th offenses. A least now they got a life sentence and will never harm anyone again

I think it's ironic that he asked that his name not be used out of fear for his and his family's safety.
What a world we live in.

To kill a man is never a prideful action, for one. But like it said before there may a time that comes that you have to do it. Also, you have to think ever criminal isn't a gang member, but first of a feather flock together. And if the 3rd perp come back for revenge or other people affiliated with the perps, it's better to limit information like names. They could come knocking on his door. Basically he was just minimizing potential backlash.

Sad that people died, but there are consequences for every action. Certainly seems like a justified use of force to me... He held out as long as he could...

Good post again JB. I know my last post sounds harsh, but facts are facts. If you pick up a firearm with intent to due harm you deserve what you get. In this case the bad guys got dead after pistol whipping the victim who might lose his job due to defending his life.So many times the Bad guys get away with their cowerdly acts and good people suffer.Enough is enough and now the good guys are often armed and can and will defend themselves. The sad part is we have to request the privledge to arm ourselves even tho its is a right granted by god and reinforced by the 2nd Amendment.

There were some very enlightening comments in the Charlotte Observer opinion page today concerning the Pizza Hut
delivery guy who defended himself against 3 armed robbers.

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/20...-shot-dead-in-robbery.html#Comments_Container

This is my final post in this thread. It seems to me everyone agrees, he did what he had to do and he has to deal
with some issues. I enjoyed reading everyones comments on the site. Thanks.

Fellow GLockers, we are all living in a world where the scum of the earth will rob, rape, beat and kill us for the change in our pockets. Even those who choose to freely give up that change in their pockets to these POS's are, more often than not, still going to be robbed, raped, beaten and killed because there is no value placed on human life by these animals.

Be armed, be trained, be mentally prepared and be ready and willing to unleash hell in the defense of yourselves and others. These animals won't give you time to think about it should that unfortunate instance come into your life.

I pray that I'm never in the same situation, but if I am I pray I will shoot as straight as this person did.
Armed robbery should be a Capital Offense. He made it so. Fortunately I live in a state (Florida) where I can stand my ground to defend myself and/or possessions legally.
