Manageable YES. I just thought it felt really weird in my hand. I would choose a G30SF myself over the G36. The difference in the thickness of the grip is not worth it to me for the capacity it gives up and for the odd feel in my hand. That's just MY experience. YMMV.

read up about the problems with them before you buy.... apparently its hit or miss as to whether or not you will get a good one. Im going through this problem right now with a super miss on my G30sf.

Or you can do what I did and get both. G30SF as primary EDC and the G36 as a backup.
