I haven't seen it posted anywhere so I thought some of you might like to know.....
I was changing the sights on my Gen4 23 and didn't realize or even look at how the stock front sight was put in until I grabbed a pair of pliers and tried to twist the front sight off. The new ones (at least on my pistol) are screwed in like they should be. Don't know when the attachment was changed, both of my older models were staked in.

It was changed early last year IIRC, don't quote me on that as I don't remember specifics very well. The more recent Gen3s are like that too. It was a change that should have never have been. Should have been that way from DAY 1.
