wow!

Shot the G19 today with my son. First shot was high right, I guess from the unfamiliarity with the trigger. Second shot bullseye; third shot bullseye. Remaining shots in the outer bull all at 10 yards. Not bad! We shot 50 rounds of Blazer 115 FMJ.

My son shot it too. He's 10. He couldn't get used to the trigger. He didn't do to bad overall. I shot some 115 Critical Defense in a quick fire drill; 15 shots. All shots at 10 yards impacted around a 4-5" circle in the outer bull area.

I am very pleased so far with this pistol and how it shoots.

Nice range report. I love going with my son who is 7, and I look forward to taking my daughter when she gets a little older. I'm hoping that once both kids are old enough to go, my wife will come as well. :)

Congrats on the new G19! I will be picking one up sometime this week.

Some of my best memories with my dad was when we went shooting handguns and rifles. He passed away in '04, but I still have his "pride-and-joy" S&W K-38 Combat Masterpiece .38 special. This was my great-uncle's police service revolver. I hope to take my daughter shooting soon and pass on this family tradition!

Be safe and enjoy your new Glock!!

Nice.. Glad to hear the good news. I think it's pretty cool you're teaching your son to shoot. I think it's good to educate children about firearms, instead of letting their curiosity getting the best of them and hurting themself or someone else.

Glock 19...$519, box of ammo...$13.95....going to the shooting range with your child....PRICELESS.
I agree!

I have taken my now 17 year old daughter several times, she shoots everything from .22 rifles (got hers @ 12 years old), and pistols, to shotguns, deer rfles, sks, ar 15, and 41 mag revolver.

On her facebook page she has a pic of us at the range, shes shooting my AR..the pic quote says,,,,,NO MEANS NO!

Her boyfriends dont need to just worry about me! LOL

Glad yall had fun!

I took my Wife and my new Gen4 G19 to the range today. The Wife had fun, but doesn't care for autos. She prefers 38 revolvers. I had a good time with the glock. There were no problems with fte's or ftf's. It ran just fine.

Not only am I teaching my 14 year old daughter to shoot, but teaching my ex as well and buying her a Glock 19. We still get along famously, just not together. They live in a small town north of here so PD response time is way down. An investment in their safety as far as I'm concerned.

Congrats on your excellent shot groups! Also agree with the rest of the crew, family time is the best time! Best wishes to you, and your wife & kids. Once your wife gets into it, just 'try' to get her off the range! ;)
