lounging around the tv/internet, or doing yard work/mowing the lawn?

taking out the trash? do you have access to one while you're in the shower? etc...

just curious. :)

No, never have felt the need. I live in a small town, and while there have been incidents here, like most eveywhere else, I just don't feel threatened.... But I've got a safe in my bedroom with adequate arms and ammo. There are some places I travel for work that make me nervous, and I'm planning on getting a CW permit in the near future.

I thought that I might have been the only one thinking t this issue ! Since Ive been in Tucson and a state that gives the right to protect ourselves I wont to carrie all the timer . With my Glock and a few smaller cal. postals i own I feel safer than Ive felt in many years . At first i was thinking about my paranoia but thank God I'm over that yet still have loaded guns here an there around the house . I love Az. and my new Glock and there will be Hell to anyone that messes with either . Just glad to be here and with this forum.

I have a holstered firearm on my person most of the time at home ... except when I sleep or shower. While sleeping it's on the night stand. While in the shower ... well, it's not on my person.

EDIT: I live in a nice, quiet n'hood too. Nice, quiet n'hoods make good targets for criminals that want to steal stuff.

Yeah, I'm with Vol. Generally speaking, if I am awake, I have a firearm on. Regardless of what I do. I also take weekend naps wearing it. I'm just used to it being on. I get up, and put the pistol on. I go to bed, and it goes in the bed safe. That is my daily routine.

I'm with you guys. I was out mowing the lawn a couple of weeks ago and did not realize I was carrying my LCP in the open.
A neighbor lady, about 85 years old, stopped and said, "Rowdie, why are you carrying a gun? You 'fraid of something"?
I said, "Yes Miss Sarah, I'm afraid you might try to steal my lawn mower"! It actually scared me. I thought she was goinng to
have a heart attack laughing so hard! Cool Lady!

I carry around my yard sometimes. Haven't carried out in public yet. My problem is my gun safe. I need to change the arrangement, so I can actually access it in less than 5 minutes. I have kids in the house, so I am extra paranoid (there is a story to go along with that).

Hey Slowdraw, I lived in Tucson (Toocsun) for a few years. My first place was across from El Corral. Is that place still there?

I have no problem in and around my house... However I cannot carry (have a CPL) whilst being in my summer place.. The association condo laws don't allow firearms.. I cannot defend myself or my family in my own property. Condo laws are taking my constitutional rights away..Something is not right..

I alway OC when on cycle trip in state, or when camping. In town I don't (no CCW yet and can't drive far here without crossing school area). Always loaded and close while at house.
yeah i don't have my CCW permit yet. now, you're in AZ, can't you CCW without a permit? wish it was like that here! lol in MI it'll cost $215 for the safety class and permit. OC is legal in MI, but i never do it. CC is legal on your property--i do that all the time. in fact i have my g29 in a IWB right now because i'm about to go walking around my property lol. nice area, but might as well have it on ya if you got it ;)

DG , wife and I took the class, fingerprints submitted! Now waiting , ugh I am not a patient man! I do wear around house and property. In Missouri can have loaded pistol in car, extension of castle doctrine so yes in truck/car at all times! I alternate my glock and HK :)
