I HAVE A COLT MODEL 01991 45 THE BOX IS MARKED GOVERNMENT MODEL 5" BLUE BUT THE PISTOL IS A 5" WITH, COMMANDER MODEL ON THE LEFT SIDE OF SLIDE. WHEN I
CONTACTED COLT THEY SAID THEY DID NOT MAKE A 5" COMMANDER. THIS PISTOL IS NEW IN BOX. IF ANYBODY HAS ANY IDEA WHAT THIS PISTOL WOULD WORTH.

Could you post up a pic of the slide confirming the Colt Commander roll mark ?

Have you measured the barrel ?

I have a Combat Commander and it is my understanding the commander only comes in 4.125 inch barrel length.

It is not a combat government model is it ? (not mine, I wish, it belonged to a friend who passed on recently, and I do not know what happened to it or the Colt King Cobra .357 Snake gun he had)

Look up the serial number on the Colt website - and see what they have it listed as - or did you ask Colt CS with the SN.

If an error in a production run - it would add some value to a collector. Post some pictures on the ColtForum and you will get some quick replies..

How do those Tisa's shoot ?

I have been getting many sales flies with them for a really good price, not that I need any more .45's but always looking out for a deal.

I am the current high bidder on this one, the bidding frenzy starts today, pretty sure it will walk right out of my budget :

I get email sales-fliers from all of um and then some ... lol

The Star kept me in the game until it went so high that the taxes and s&h and dealers costs put it way above 600 dollars and I let them have it.

They're going to come down even more in the near future as Tisas is coming out with an entirely new line up. The 1911A1 is down to $329.00 in places. I like the upgraded versions (B45 and the Carry models) ...especially the extended beavertail, cut out under the trigger guard and the enlarged slide ejection area. I paid the same $399 for each of my two. Thought about the rail model but they were out of stock when I ordered the next morning. I need to spend more time shooting the full size duty....the ss Carry is much heavier, but I do shoot it better.
