Hopefully this doesnt turn into a war but... Been thinking about carrying with the universal clip draw and keeping a round unchambered in my G4 23. Dont feel like explaining why I carry unchambered but I have my reasons. Also I have the crimson trace LG-436 mounted over my trigger guard which makes finding an IWB holster impossible. I think the universal clip draw would be ideal for me and my need for conceal carry. Anyone else use the clip draw???

Dont want to hear how an unchambered glock is an expensive hammer, keep it related to pros and cons of the clipdraw

First time I saw one I thought it was a money clip. J/K I used to have one on a G26 or 27 I don't remember now which. Anyway, my biggest problem with it was it got caught on everything. I ripped a hole in a recliner (mine fortunately) poked a hole in a car seat (not mine that got expensive) thats just to name a few. Right after the car I took it off and got rid of it. It would have been fine if it wasn't always getting caught on something.

Yeah, they just aren't for me. IF I was to wear one, there is no way I would carry one in a chamber of a GLOCK.

An alternative that would allow you to carry one in the cahmber IWB is the MIC Holster. Works great for me.

I've seen them connected to the slide cover and the side of the slide... At least screwing them to the slide cover doesn't ruin a perfectly good slide...

Not for me...

are these similar to the kel-tec style? seems pretty efficient but I'm not screwing anything into my $500 gun.
Had a KelTec 3AT with a clip on it, but never carried it with a round chambered. That's scary, having a round chambered with an exposed trigger in your pocket in close proximity to the family jewels. No thanks, I'll pass!

I had one on a G30.. it comes with a slide cover plate w/ 2 holes in it which it screws into.. which was handy.

Like SF said though, it'd get caught on stuff.. cool idea though.
Sounds like you had the same brand I did. Came with a different cover plate just for it.

The only clips I have actually seen are the ones with the special cover plate. When I Googled "universal clip draw" it came up with the following:

http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Clipdraw-Semi-Auto/dp/B000G3A4Z2

I'm not sure if that is a special brand or what, but it sure looks like you have to drill two holes in the side of your slide.
