Chiappa's Rhino

So I received my copy of Guns and Ammo today in the mail and on the cover is one of the ugliest guns I have ever seen. The cover shows a new revolver called the Rhino made by Chiappa.

Here is a write up on it from Gun Holster and Gear.

Most revolvers are beautiful pieces of craftsmanship. I just can't picture myself ever owning something like this. I also noticed that the barrel is at the bottom of the frame, giving a very long distance between the barrel and the front sight. I can't see how this would make for a better sight picture as the magazine claims.

looked at the 2inch chiappa rhino at the funshop yesterday. it's heavy for it's size. interesting though. it has two hammers, a "false" one, and a the true one. flat wall cylinder for better concealment.

it also has a million tiny parts inside....

the lower bore axis will certainly reduce muzzle flip, but that recoil's going strait back into your hand.

i wouldn't mind trying one, they are cool--but not $700 worth of cool.

these were marketed a couple years ago, but were discontinued. we'll see how they fair this time around....

Have you fired the Hi Point a lot? Maybe I got a bad one, but I don't think I ever got through a magazine without a FTE or FTF. After 250 rounds I let it go
for cheap!
i don't think you can let a hi-point go for expensive LOL :)
