I have to admit I had to go into the vault to answer this question as I never tried to put a 23 barrel into a 27 before for some reason. Oh well, anyway to answer your question yes it will fit. Took just a little wiggling as it was almost too long but it did fit and work. As far as what type of barrel to get, that depends. Are you planning on shooting any lead out of it?
The lonewolf barrels have traditional rifling in them and the Glock barrels have polygonal rifling. The Polygonal is supposed to be the better of the two in terms of muzzle velocity, and accuracy. Though I doubt most shooters would notice much difference. The draw back to them is soft metal like lead can build up in them causing BIG problems. If you will be shooting lead get the lonewolf barrel with traditional rifling. If not then I would say Glock factory.
This is what can happen shooting lead reloads out of a Polygonal barrel if it is not watched very closely and cleaned very well very regularly. Even at that I still can't recommend doing it. Pic time.
