Ok guys/gals. Making everyone happy doesn't seem to be my specialty but I'm going to give it one more shot.. as you may know, we launched another site to handle most of the non-glock topics. I was pretty excited about it and some users signed up.

Since then though, I've been getting some feedback from some dear friends on here that they weren't real happy (putting it nicely) about the changes.

I'm going to attempt to put things back how they were a week ago when there was just glock.pro w/ a non-glock section.

I know some won't like this - the fans of the new site - but I have to go with the majority on this and set it right.

This evening, i'll be shutting down the 'other' site (which i renamed to allguns.glock.pro earlier today) and will poll the moderators on what their thoughts are with the non-glock section. We may create some sub-sections how we did earlier or we may not. The goal is to make the majority of you happy with the results.

Thanks for listening.. and being a member of our great site.

I'm not a mod or anyone other than a GLOCK.Pro regular but my take is this ....

I am/was opposed to starting a new site and "launching" it from this one. We, collectively, have put a lot of time in making quality posts and referring people here. Launching a new site from here is/was basically asking them to split off and go somewhere else. Doing that will have one of the following effects ... some will stay here, some will leave and go there, some will split their time between them both, some will just give up altogether and go somewhere else. No matter which of these cases actually happens the collective GLOCK.Pro is/would be weaker and smaller than before.

I also don't think it's necessary to have a sub-section for each and ever gun maker or style of pistol. MANY sites out there simply have sections for HANDGUNS, LONG GUNS, SHOTGUNS, etc. and it works just fine. I find if you create too many pigeon holes people don't know where to post things or if you are looking for something you might not find it. I for one won't be looking at the Kimber sub-section so might miss some meaningful 1911 discussion or a discussion of "what holster for a Kimber" when the questions isn't about Kimbers at all .... it's about holsters. You see my point.

Thanks for "taking it back". It's kind of funny as I was just discussing this very thing with someone offline.

I agree with Volgrad...

I like Glock.pro being a predominately Glock site where some of the members have interests in other guns...

Well done, Rob!
