As of now I am in search of a new barrel for my generation 2 Glock 22. My original barrel was cracked and I am looking at $135 to get a factory replacement barrel from glock. Lately i have been checking out the storm lake and lone wolf barrels as a secondary choice since the glock barrels cant handle some 180gr factory loads. They call it an overcharge but its factory ammo. I was wondering are the storm lake and lone wolf barrels any good? are they better or worst than glock factory barrels? cons and pros. Also will the storm lake barrels for a G22 fit a generation 2 glock 22 without modification?

I recommend KKM Precision barrels. I have 2 of them on my G17 and G35.
so the KKM barrels are better than the factory barrels? because they are a little bit more than the price im looking to pay. I was looking at the storm lake barrels because of their relatively cheap price tag. but i dont know whether to go with a storm lake, lone wolf or glock factory barrel? let me know more about the kkm barrels in the mean time i will do a little surfing

Storm Lake barrels are really good, plus they have a conventional Land & Groove rifling so you can shoot lead bullets all day long. Plus Storm Lake has caliber conversion barrels so you could shoot .357sig or 9mm outta your G22 if ya wanted. Happy Shootin.

I dont have any experience with those. But I have a KKM 357 sig barrel for my G23 and have not had any issues with it.

Glock barrels can handle 180gr factory loads just fine. There were some reports of over charged rounds in some lots of factory ammo, but that was a QC issue, not a standard load. In my opinion, Lone Wolf barrels are the best value for money. However, unless you're planning on shooting bare lead, I'd stick with the Glock barrel.

You mentioned a couple of good choices. Don't forget one pro for getting a after market is the ability to shoot lead re-loads out of it. I have some lone wolf barrels laying around that I use for this. I don't use them when I carry just for cheap lead shooting but that is only because it is my preference. Not because the have not been reliable or anything.
