Advantage Arms .22lr Conversion Compatibly with Polymer 80

I built a Polymer 80 Glock 19 clone and have run a few .22lr mags. through it with no problems. Follow their ammo recommendations. Once I figured out what was going on with the 9mm slide and firing pin/trigger bar to permit the gun to actually go bang, just switching to the Advantage Arms slide/mag. and it ran just fine. The guys on this web site were a great help and support in trying to diagnose the original problem when mine wouldn't go bang period. Good bunch. Going tomorrow to try out my Glockstore 43 build which I expect to be OK. If that works out as expected, I "may" try a LaserMax guide rod sight which is not suppose to work with the SS-80. Want to make sure mine is working without a hitch before ordering a $200+ laser that won't work.

Don: Thanks for your input. Glad your .22lr AA conversion kit is working well with your Glock 19 Polymer 80 Clone. I ordered one thru the Glockstore and have been unsuccessful in getting any kind of response from them as to timing on availability. Will give them a few more days to respond before I cancel my order and buy from Amazon. As much as I don’t like Amazon my choices are limited. Thanks again!

Nice to see your still here. I ask myself the same question. The SS-80 I built functioned great yesterday, as well as the Glock 43 I bought to get a slide for the project. I walked out of the gun shop with the 43 and 2 mags. for $485 and a new Glock slide would have been $400. Duh. Anyway. Using a complete factory slide assy. and the SS-80 uses almost all stock Glock parts which I've determined to be located in the same location/configuration, as close as can be practically measured, I think it's one of those Lawyer things by LaserMax? I think I want to change the spring in my +2 mag. extension and run another box or 2 of 9mm thru the conversion before purchasing the neat recoil spring laser. So, not going to happen in 5 min. but will get back if it works like you and I think it "should" and let all know the results. Old guy still having fun.

Just want to let everyone know I received my Advantage Arms .22lr Conversion Kit from The Glockstore on 01/17/19 for use with my Polymer 80 build. Took advantage of the cold but decent weather to try it out on my Polymer 80. Bottom line, it worked flawlessly in 30°F weather. No issues except with one brand. Haven't figured out how to attach a file so I took a picture with the details and will upload.

Should have added that this is the first of many test to come to get my Polymer 80/AA .22lr conversion kit ready to shoot Steel Challenge matches in the coming months. All I need is for the weather to cooperate.

The Ruger looks brand new. Bought it a couple of weeks ago. I have a P89 Special Edition I bought off a cop fron Choo-Choo-Town. I got all the paperwork with that. Born 12/24/2001. Also have a P90DC.
The lower I have is a billet Matrix Aerospace LRBHO model. I bought it from Primary Arms. $159. PA don't sell them anymore. Someone does. I have another one that is going to be a pistol. What sucks is I got a PSA LRBHO for $99 a couple of years ago. It works good with the right buffer. I went to order another, they were gone. Never to return.
Indoor range. Heat was blowing on me. Mostly me and a retired metro cop.

I purchased a P85 when they first came out and traded up to a 89 a year later after reading of issues with the 85.
It has not been out to the range in lotsa years, but I do remember it shot everything I loaded it up with, bulged ammo, a bit too oal ammo, kinked case ammo, it did not care ! This was when I first started hand loading and it was a great enabler !

Just an update, have 207 rnds thru my Polymer 80/AA .22lr conversion kit. Works great with AE22, Blazer #0021, CCI #0032, Federal 788BF & Remington 1622C (some Failure to fires). Stove pipes with the AM22 but getting better. Shooting my 1st steel match this weekend and will be alternating between my 9MM Polymer 80 build for the 1st gun followed by the AA .22lr conversion kit for the 2nd. Have done this successfully at the range but not in competition.
If the weather cooperates, I’ll let you know how they function!

Final update. Shot a steel Match earlier today using my Polymer 80 lower and switching back & forth between my after market Glock 19 upper & the Advantage Arms .22lr conversion kit. Both performed flawlessly ie much better than the shooter. Not one issue with the Advantage Arms kit at all. As an FYI, I used Federal’s 788BF ammo.
It’s a keeper for me!
