Well, I got in my 4th Gen G19 a few days ago. I have been working too much to get the chance to take it out to the range but I did go ahead and put trijicons on it. Before I left for work I threw a couple of boxes of S&B ammo in the car my sight pusher just in case and the range bag. On my way home I was tired like always but had made my mind up that I was going to shoot Gaston's newest release to the gun world.

So, I stopped at the range and set up a target. Nothing fancy just a saucer sized paper plate stapled to the end of a foot lont 2x4. Put it out about 40 feet from me and started shooting my new toy. It shot nice. No jams no problems what so ever out of it. It was not as soft shooting as my Gen 4 G17 is but it was still softer than the Gen 3 G19.

Of course, it was accurate stock 5.5lbs trigger pull was what I have come to expect from Glock Stock triggers. I have nothing negative to say about the gun or how it perfromed today. But I did only put 100 rounds through it. I will have to see if that continues or not. I am sure it will though. All in all I am happy with it

Congrats on you fine shooter. Im the same way, too busy. My first competition is coming up Sunday and I still havent shot my new to me 22 that I got a couple weeks ago. I havent shot my newest addition(my 27) either.

I am interested to see the 23 when it comes out ... just because of the new spring. Anyone seen one yet?

Thanks for your review of the G19 Gen 4, you said it felt a bit softer than the Gen 3 so I wondered if this was the only difference you noticed?

Well, there is the obvious changes that have been made to the gun that give it a different feel as well. But yes it does shoot softer. I am really liking the 4th gens overall. I just need to get off my but and order my 02 spring for the G17 from Glock. I just keep forgeting to. Always thinking about something else instead.

Thanks for your review of the new 4gen G19...

I've read that some people don't like the new 4th gen Glocks... It makes me feel better when I read that someone with your knowledge likes them...

(because I plan to get one!)

Thanks. I am not really singing the praises of Glock on this pistol yet though. I am going to load up around 250 low pressure re-loads and take them out to the range with it. Hopefully Sunday evening sometime. Depends on what time I get out of work, and church. The low pressure re-loads are where the G17s were having problems hence the new recoil springs.

Now, this was supposed to have been addressed before this pistol was introduced as they were aware of the problems in the G17 by that time. I guess I just like to mess with things too much and can never leave well enough alone. But like I said it did great with the 100 factory rounds I put through it this morning.

I'm jealous - i've been wanting another 19 since I sold mine.. you'll have to let us know what you think after Sunday.

Some of the promised pictures as I believe any I have a new gun thread should have pics of the new toy with it. Sure they all look the same but who don't like to show off a new toy right? I will apologize up front though. I spend ALOT more time shooting a gun than I do a camera. I am not much of a photographer but here it is with it's big brother. Gen 4 G17

I know when the Gen4 23 will be out... And its right after you get fed up and tired of waiting on it and buy something else, hehe.

All I can say is that it is coming. The paperwork in the box has a chart saying what backstrap fits what and the G23 is listed on it. I have heard RUMOR that they are in Austria and ready to ship but are waiting ATF approval. Which normally happens fairly quickly belive it or not as long as the gun scores enough points. I would go out on a limb and say a couple weeks they will be here. That is only a GUESS

Well, it is Sunday and been raining here. Now it is so humid that it will just have to wait till tomorrow. I will post up how it does though

What are you taking about, get out there and put that thing in the rain. Its a GLOCK, it wont hurt it. Plus, its the perfect time to see how good that new RTF3 grip is.
