21AMBI and 21 Gen 2.5 added

Recently added the G21 AMBI w/Picatinny rail (top) and picked up the G21 Gen2.5 (finger grooves, no rail) today.

I’ll have to review, but I think this completes my efforts to own all the major Glock frames. There are still some nuances I don’t have, like the AMBI with standard rail but right now I think I’m done.

My biggest debate is the 19x. It’s so close to the 45 (and costs more) that I can’t decide if it’s really a different frame than the Gen5 or not.

Nice !

I have several brands of .45, love me some .45, I do !
Nice but I'm sure you'll find room for them when you find one of those odd ones.

Sweet!

Looks like they are in great shape!
When did Glock start to offer rails?
Gen3s - the standard frame (G17, 22, etc) had them from the start. There is no "Gen2.5" for standard frames. The large frame (G20, 21) had a brief period, not quite a year of production, without them.

The true rarity that very few people know about is the Gen2.5 compensated G20 and 21. A G20c Gen2.5 sold recently for just under $1,500.

Did we not come to the conclusion that "Frank" was a 2.5 frame ?

If I did in the past, I would have been wrong based on what I can see in the picture. The frame looks to be a Gen3 - finger grooves, w/texture and a Glock rail.

Ahh - he is a two pin Gen3 frame which is rare but pins don’t determine a Gen. So it is likely we made an incorrect diagnosis in the past.

There are two pin and three pin Gen2s. 2 and 3 pin Gen3s, 3 pin Gen4s and 2 pin Gen5s (so far).

If you remember the story, he stated out as a Gen2 LE trade in purchase, that developed integrity issues with the frame.

A trip to Glock and this is what I got back, the upper is the same and the lower is a replacement part.

Pretty sure this was back in the 1990's.

This is partly why he got the name, "Frankenstein" ....
I remember Frank! Seems like a lifetime ago, I sent you a Gen4 dot connector so Frank could cover Gen2, 3 and 4. 🤣

I replaced some Gen5 sights recently, not sure what I did with them but I can probably find them if Frank wants to claim another Generation. Gen5 sights are better for old, retired, eyes too (wider notch).
I still have the connector installed !

Using trueglo green/red fiber optics for on top viewing and a Lasermax (red) for assurance, it sux to get old !

Sucks to get fat too.

No, actually, I take that back, getting fat was quite enjoyable. Being fat sucks and trying to get un-fat REALLY sucks . Almost as bad as correcting auto correct corrections.
